1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By downloading, installing, and using Thocky ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these terms, do not use this App.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.
2. LICENSE AND USE
Thocky is a paid, one-time purchase. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on Macs you own or control, subject to the standard Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions for App Store purchases.
3. PRICING
Thocky is sold as a single one-time purchase through the Mac App Store. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no recurring charges. Future updates to existing features are included in your purchase at no extra cost.
4. WHAT THE APP DOES
Thocky is a menu bar utility that plays mechanical-keyboard switch sounds as you type, offers an optional floating on-screen keyboard overlay, a Sound Studio for tone shaping, and a typing-speed test. It requires the macOS Input Monitoring permission to detect key-down/key-up timing, and optionally the Accessibility permission for the floating overlay — see our Privacy Policy for exactly what these permissions are used for.
5. USER RESPONSIBILITIES
You agree not to use Thocky to violate any applicable law or regulation, or to attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or misuse the App outside of its intended purpose as a sound-effect utility.
6. DISCLAIMERS
- No Warranty: The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Hardware Variance: Actual sound and latency may vary slightly depending on your Mac's audio hardware and system load.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
8. TERMINATION
You may stop using the App and delete it at any time. We may discontinue future updates to the App at our discretion; previously purchased functionality is unaffected by App Store rules on already-downloaded software.
9. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms of Service are provided in English. Where Thocky is available in other languages, this English version takes precedence in case of any discrepancies.
